CNBC Anchor Erin Burnett Moving to CNN Worldwide

“Squawk on the Street” reporter will host a weekday general news program

Erin Burnett is making the transition from CNBC to CNN Worldwide, CNN said on Friday.

Burnett, who anchors the weekday series "Squawk on the Street" and "Street Signs" for CNBC, will anchor a weekday general news program for CNN Worldwide, and will contribute to the news network's breaking and international coverage. She will begin at CNN in June, working from the company's New York headquarters.

In addition to her work on CNBC, Burnett has contributed to NBC's "Today" and "Meet the Press," as well as MSNBC’s "Morning Joe."

“I cannot wait to launch our new show: tackling serious issues and telling great stories," Burnett said of the move. "The experience I gained at CNBC and NBC News will be invaluable as I expand my focus."

CNN executive vice president Ken Jautz said that Burnett "will add depth and dimension to CNN’s ongoing reporting on the top stories facing the nation and the world.”
