‘Jeselnik Offensive,’ ‘Nathan for You’ Get Comedy Central Renewals

Both shows renewed for second seasons

Comedy Central has renewed "The Jeselnik Offensive" and "Nathan for You" for second seasons.

Ten new episodes of "The Jeselnik Offensive" will begin airing in July, and ten new episodes of "Nathan for You" will air in 2014.

Premiering in February, “The Jeselnik Offensive” takes on the week's darkest news stories as Anthony Jeselnik attempts some of the riskiest comedy on television. In his first season, he has delivered cancer jokes to cancer patients, held an African-American names spelling bee, and taken on a different sacred cow each week. Guests have included Aziz Ansari, Billy Eichner, Abby Elliott, Pete Holmes, Nick Kroll, Jason Matzoukas, T.J. Miller, John Mulaney, Kristen Schaal and Amy Schumer.

In the docu-reality comedy “Nathan for You,” which also premiered in February, Nathan Fielder uses his real-life business degree and real-life experience to help struggling companies with strategies that no traditional business would dare to attempt. In one notable episode, he persuaded a yogurt shop to create buzz with a new "poo" flavor.

“Anthony and Nathan share dashing good looks and razor-sharp wit,” said Kent Alterman, Comedy Central's president of content development and original programming. "One of them is also a humanitarian."

“Sounds good,” said Fielder in a statement.

“I don't know what joke Kent Alterman attempted in this press release, but I'm sure it's terrible," said Jeselnik.
