Miley Cyrus’ VMAs Twerk-er Fallout: Robin Thicke’s Wife’s Down With It — Pink, Cher, Not So Much (Video)

Says Cher: “She can’t dance, her body looked like hell, the song wasn’t great, one cheek was hanging out. And, chick, don’t stick out your tongue if it’s coated”

Robin Thicke’s mom may not have liked Miley Cyrus‘ suggestive VMA moves against her son, but his wife, Paula Patton, is surprisingly cool with it.

The actress told Bravo “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen on Tuesday that she had no problem with it. Which isn’t true of some rival female singers who have recently weighed in on Cyrus’s racy moves at the event.

Patton told Cohen that she knew what was coming at the VMAs.

“Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand,” Patton said, saying she doesn’t know how to dance without similar booty moves.  “All my friends do it like that,” Patton said on the Bravo show. “And I don’t really know what the big deal is. I don’t know if they thought Miley was gonna sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys — the song is about taking molly.”

Britney Spear defended Cyrus on “Good Morning America” as well, saying, “I think any time you do a performance that is that memorable, you’re going to have criticism,” Spears said. “I think she’s doing her thing. She’s being herself, so I give props to her.”

Other female singers are not as supportive.

“Am I into it?” Pink asked herself in an interview with E! Online. “No, I think it’s tacky.”

“She’s really freaking talented; she’s beautiful,” Pink continued. “She can sing her ass off and to go up there and do that? She’s cheating herself and she’s cheating the rest of us”

Allowing that the former Disney Channel princess “can do what she wants,” she said that the singer “can do better. I’ve seen her do better.”

Cher, who said in an interview with USA Today that Cyrus’ VMA appearance “was so bad,” is simply not a fan.

“I’m not old-fashioned,” Cher told the paper. “She could have come out naked, and if she’d just rocked the house, I would have said, ‘You go, girl.’ It just wasn’t done well. She can’t dance, her body looked like hell, the song wasn’t great, one cheek was hanging out. And, chick, don’t stick out your tongue if it’s coated.”
