Charlie Sheen has denied allegations that he sexually assaulted Corey Haim when the late actor was 13 years old.

The denial was issued in response to a report from the National Enquirer on Wednesday that named Sheen as the adult actor (he was 19 at the time) who raped Haim on the set of the 1986 film “Lucas.”

However, “Charlie Sheen categorically denies these allegations,” a representative for Sheen told The Hollywood Reporter.

Dominick Brascia, a former actor and a longtime friend of Haim’s, said he was told that Sheen had sex with Haim during production of the film. The report also cited another source, identified only as “a longtime Sheen confidant,” who said Sheen confessed to a consensual sexual relationship with Haim.

Haim’s former “Lost Boys” co-star and close friend Corey Feldman has insisted that they were both sexually assaulted as underage actors in Hollywood, and has promised to out his abusers. The Los Angeles Police Department said on Wednesday that it had opened an investigation into the actors claims about a long-running “pedophilia ring” in Hollywood.

Haim’s mother, Judy, has slammed Feldman as a “scam artist” over his announced plans to crowdfund a $10 million documentary which would expose his and Haim’s abusers.

After becoming a teen idol in the 1980s, Haim died in March 2010 at age 38. While the official cause of death was pneumonia, he had battled drug addiction for a number of years.
