Leto plays the Joker in 2016’s supervillain team-up film which also stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis and Ike Barinholtz, among others. Ayer’s film follows a group of supervillains who are forced to team up and help the government, as represented by Amanda Waller (Davis).
The official photo follows weeks of teases of Leto’s look, which is also vastly different from the aesthetics sported by Heath Ledger as the same character in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight.”
