NBC and Fox tied for first place in the key demographic Monday night, while CBS took first place in total viewers, according to preliminary numbers.
Both NBC and Fox averaged a 1.6 rating/5 share in the 18-49 demo most important to advertisers. NBC was second in total viewers with 5.1 million. The network aired “Running Wild With Bear Grylls” at 8 p.m., which posted a 0.9/3 with 3.9 million total viewers, followed by “American Ninja Warrior” at 9, which had a 1.9/6 with 5.8 million total viewers.

Fox, third place in total viewers with 4.7 million, aired “MasterChef” at 8 p.m., which tied “American Ninja Warrior” for the night’s top ratings with a 1.9/6 and drew 5.4 million total viewers. It was followed by “Hotel Hell,” which posted a 1.3/4 and 3.9 million total viewers.
ABC came in fourth in ratings and total viewers with a 1.1/3 and 4.3 million. The network aired “Bachelor in Paradise” from 8 to 10, which averaged a 1.2/4 and 4.7 million total viewers, followed by the season finale of “Mistresses,” which posted a 0.8/3 with 3.5 million total viewers.

CBS, which was fourth in ratings and first in total viewers with a 1.0/3 and 5.4 million, aired mostly repeats. The network’s fall preview at 8:30 had a 0.8/3 with 4.7 million total viewers, and “Under the Dome” at 10 had a 1.2/3 with 6.3 million total viewers.
