Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Kennedy family, Larry David, JB Smoove, and more celebrities will unite for a skiing special on CBS tied to a fundraiser for Kennedy's Waterkeeper Alliance.
The 20th annual "Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest" will take place Dec. 2-5 in Park City, Utah, and be telecast as a one-hour special on CBS on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, amid NFL coverage.
The event pairs U.S. skiers with celebrities including Kennedy, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" stars David and Smoove, Mark Feurerstein ("Royal Pains"), Hill Harper ("CSI: NY"), Bianca Kajlich ("Rules of Engagement") and Perrey Reeves ("Entourage"). The skiers include Olympic medalists Phil and Steve Mahre, Tommy Moe, and Heidi Voelker.
Executives from FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, and Bravo are also scheduled to attend. The Skifest typically raises more than $500,000 for the Waterkeeper Alliance through sponsorships and a silent auction. The alliance is dedicated to protecting fresh water resources worldwide.
