Style Network Courts Latina Moms

“Single With 7” follows DJ raising seven nieces and nephews

The Style Network announced a new initiative targeting Latino women, as well as new shows about women in a Texas country club as well as a spin-off of "Jerseylicious," its most-watched series.

Style announced it would seek "acculturated Hispanic Women 18-49" with two new pilots in development, "The Riveras" and "Single With 7," which follows Yesi Ortiz (left), a DJ on Los Angeles' Power 106, as she raises seven nieces and nephews. Style said it would also try to feature more Hispanic families and women in its exisiting shows.

"The 'Latina Modern Mom' is a dynamic, smart, optimistic, vibrant woman – a perfect
Style viewer," said network president Salaam Coleman Smith. "We are
excited to announce this robust initiative to appeal to and connect with this important
group of women who very much align with the network’s brand."

The network unveiled its plans at its upfront presentation to advertisers Tuesday.

"Big Rich Texas" is a 10-hour docu-series. The "Jerseylicious" spin-off "Glam Fairy" follows makeup artist Alexa Prisco. The network will also take its "How Do I Look" on the road with a multi-part "Search for the Worst Dressed in America."

Here are the network's shows in developments, as described by the network:

"Birth Moms"
This is an intimate and emotional docu-series set inside Orem, Utah's Adoption Center
of Choice, a residential home where expectant mothers complete their pregnancies
before giving up their babies for adoption. Having completed their 1,000th adoption in
2009, The Adoption Center provides expectant mothers with a safe and loving haven, a
vast network of support, and the opportunity to change their lives for the better as they
transition through this complicated and often scary time.

"The Amandas"

minded "Amandas," Ms. LeBlanc takes no prisoners once she has honed in on her
target, and you best just get out of the way when she enters your home on her mission.

"Single With 7"
This powerful and inspiring reality family drama centers around 29-year-old Yesi Ortiz,
an afternoon DJ at L.A.'s Power 106 FM radio. Yesi is much more than a DJ however;
she is also "mom" to the seven nieces and nephews who were put into foster care when
her sister was sent to prison. One by one, Yesi has gained legal custody of her family
and is determined to keep them together at any cost, while also pursuing her own career
goals and personal aspirations.

as Katie pushes her clients – both pageant hopefuls and suburban moms – through
their paces. With equal parts tough love and laughter, Katie is a force to be reckoned
with as she helps her clients reach their fitness goals while learning a lot about life and
themselves along the way.

"The Riveras"
Set in colorful Queens, NY, this docu-series follows the playfully unfiltered lives of
