Trevor Noah Wants to Meet the Man ‘That Herschel Walker Thinks He Is’: Treats Life ‘The Way We Treat Dating Apps’ (Video)

Noah compared Walker’s laundry list of lies to a man’s dating profile

As the midterm elections bear down upon us, Trevor Noah is a bit baffled that the race for Georgia Senate is so close between Rev. Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker. Really, at this point, Noah would very much like to meet the man that Herschel Walker has claimed to be.

“The Daily Show” host hit the road on Monday, kicking off a week-long stint of episodes from Atlanta, Georgia. As Noah explained, Georgia is the “epicenter” of the midterm elections this year. But he remains baffled by the fact that a reverend and a former football player are polling so closely together.

“I really need to understand: What is going on in Georgia that Reverend Raphael Warnock is neck and neck with Herschel Walker?” Noah asked. “What is happening? Like, I know Walker’s all neck, but what is happening? Every second thing the man says turns out to be a lie.”

Noah then proceeded to run through a laundry list of lies told and exposed by Walker, including the fact that he pretended he was an FBI agent, told people he graduated in the top 1% of his class at the University of Georgia despite never graduating at all, and pulled out an honorary police badge during a debate, claiming it was a real badge and thus “proving” he was a cop.

Noah also called attention to the allegations against Walker that he paid for an ex-girlfriend to have an abortion — after encouraging her to do so himself — despite being vocally anti-abortion.

“Like, at this point, I want to meet the Herschel Walker that Herschel Walker thinks he is,” Noah joked. “Because at this point, everything is like — he treats real life the way we treat dating apps. Just like in your profile, like, ‘I’m one of the tallest people you’ll ever meet. I founded my own industry and my mom lives with me not the other way around!’”

That said, Noah admitted that “the biggest thing about Herschel Walker for me isn’t all the lying and the hypocrisy.” For the “Daily Show” host, Walker is also “just weird.” To back up his argument, he pulled up footage of an interview Walker gave to Dr. Ben Carson.
