Andrew Skikne Is the 11th Former CAA Agent to Join UTA

Skikne will work in the agency’s touring department alongside Nick Nuciforo

UTA has hired former CAA agent Andrew Skikne to work in the agency’s touring department, it was announced Monday.

At CAA, Skikne worked closely with comedy touring head Nick Nuciforo as well as agents Jason Heyman, Martin Lesak, Gregory McKnight and Greg Cavic. The quintet joined UTA as partners last week, and Nuciforo now heads UTA’s comedy touring department.

UTA also lured Susie Fox, John Sacks, Joanna Scott, Mackenzie Condon and Chelsea McKinnies away from CAA, which also lost top clients Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Melissa McCarthy and Zach Galifianakis.

CAA has commenced arbitration against Heyman, Lesak and McKnight, who were all under contract when they defected to UTA.

CAA has sued Cavic, McKnight and UTA over the agency’s alleged “lawless midnight raid” that is expected to result in the loss of up to 150 clients.

Skikne marks the 11th former CAA agent to join UTA in the last week, and several more agents may join him at the rival agency.

Earlier on Monday, ICM Partners announced that Rob Prinz, the former head of music/personal appearances at UTA, has joined the agency’s Los Angeles office as a partner. Prinz has been named ICM’s co-head of worldwide concerts, a title he shares with Steve Levine.
