Summer movie-goers will get their erotic fix despite the fact that “Fifty Shades of Grey” has now been moved to Valentine’s Day 2015.

Sony Pictures said Wednesday that it will move “Sex Tape” from July 18, 2014 to August 1, 2014 — the date that the big screen adaptation of E.L. James’ kinky novel just vacated.

The movie finds the funny side of filming sexual exploits and stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel. It will square off against the James Brown biopic “Get on Up” and Marvel’s superhero team film “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

The studio is also moving the Jerry Bruckheimer produced horror film “Beware The Night” to July 2, 2014. The hope is that the film will fill the appetite for summer-time scares that made “The Conjuring” and “The Purge” breakout hits this year.  The film deals with demons and the occult and stars Eric Bana and Olivia Munn.

In its new slot, “Beware the Night” will face off against the Melissa McCarthy comedy “Tammy” and the second week of “Transformers: Age of Extinction.” “Beware the Night” was originally scheduled to open in January 16, 2015.
