Jay Roach is set to direct "Game Change,"a political drama HBO Films is developing, TheWrap has learned.
Roach directed "Recount," HBO's Emmy and Golden Globe-winning 2008 movie about the 2000 election recount in Florida. This project reunites Roach with "Recount" writer Danny Strong.
"Game Change" is based on "Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime," the bestselling 2010 book by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.
The movie explores some of the drama and personalities behind the 2008 presidential campaign.
