Oscar winner Forest Whitaker is looking to travel overseas for "Little Treasure," according to Variety. Michael D. Olmos’ indie drama follows an American couple whose lives change when they return to the wife’s homeland of China and meet a Shanghai street kid.
The film, which will be financed by Belltower Entertainment and Amalgamation Entertainment, was written by veteran TV writer Josh Goldstein, and is set to shoot on location in Shanghai.
WME-repped Whitaker currently appears in theaters in Fox Searchlight’s "Our Family Wedding," and has "Repo Men" releasing this Friday.
