Jon Stewart Takes on California, Florida in Climate Change Spoof (Video)

“The nation’s more westerly penis has its own way to handle climate emergency” Stewart says about California

Jon Stewart took on climate change deniers Wednesday night by plugging his ears and singing “la,la,la.”

“According to science, earth just experienced its warmest winter since record keeping began in 1880—we explore why that’s just a random meaningless fact in our new segment, ‘la,la,la,’” Stewart said.

Stewart than turned to two states with opposite climate problems—Florida and California.

He took on Florida Governor Rick Scott, who’s reportedly banned his staffers from using the term climate change, instead telling them to call sea level rises “nuisance flooding.”

“Nuisance flooding, moisture inconvenience, statewide jacooz-ification,” Stewart joked, then wipping out his Roget’s Denial Thesaurus to spit out more ridiculous terms.

Stewart then called out Scott for denying his government employees can’t say climate change by showing an emergency management worker speaking in a Florida hearing, but not using the term climate change while answering a question.

He then turns his ire on California: “The nation’s more westerly penis has its own way to handle climate emergency” he said.

Stewart noted the state’s fix for climate change is restricting the amount of water they serve to customers; limiting homes to outdoor watering a couple days a week, and making hotels need permission from guests before watering their towels.

“Even worse, celebrities wishing to raise ALS awareness will be forced to take the sand bucket challenge,” Stewart said.
