The “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” actress earned a trophy for her featured role
Lena Hall won the second Tony Award of the night, and boy was she excited.
“Oh God, I only have 90 seconds!” the winner for her featured role in musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” opened her acceptance speech. Hall easily filled the brief minute-and-a-half with lots of excitable gratitude and emotion.
After crediting the show for changing her life in 1999, the stage actress scored a big laugh when she thanked her sister, who Hall pointed out did her hair for the big night. She also wished her mom and dad a happy birthday and welcomed her future niece into the world.
Hall closed on a sweet note: “Friendship is magic,” a line from “My Little Pony.”
