‘Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD’ Enlists ‘Secret Warriors’ Characters for Season 3

ABC comic-book adaptation returns in September

“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” is bringing some extra help aboard for its third season.

The ABC comic-book adaptation will introduce characters from Marvel’s “Secret Warriors” team for its next run, which will premiere in September.

For those who don’t follow the superhero franchise, the Secret Warriors are a team of superpowered agents led by Nick Fury. “Agents of SHIELD” already has a tie-in to the team in the form of Secret Warriors member Daisy Johnson, played by Chloe Bennet on the ABC series.

According to the network, the Secret Warriors are in the aftermath of SHIELD’s battle with Jiaying and the Inhumans, while Director Coulson searches the world for more powered people and assembles an extraordinary new team to deal with threats unlike the world has ever seen. However, the Agents of SHIELD will soon find out they’re not the only ones tracking down these new Inhumans.

The “Marvel Television Presents” panel at San Diego Comic-Con will offer more information on Secret Warriors when it’s presented July 10.
