Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher Mock Media Coverage of Chicken Lawsuit: ‘I Was Devastated’ (Video)

“I would like to launch a counter $5,000 lawsuit,” the actress says in response to a Ukrainian woman’s claim that Kunis stole a pet chicken from her when they were in first grade

Why did the chicken cross the road? Because Mila Kunis stole it, according to a Ukrainian woman who is allegedly suing the actress over the theft, while Kunis and husband Ashton Kutcher are mocking the media for covering it.

“When the reporters were calling you last night about this issue, what did you say to them about these allegations?” Kutcher asks a woman who appears to be their assistant in a video response to the “shocking” allegations.

“I was devastated, I was weeping, I was dumbfounded. I was like, ‘Which chicken did I steal?’” Kunis, who migrated to the U.S. from Ukraine as a child, says. “I apologize to this woman who was maybe, or maybe not one month old.”

TMZ broke the outlandish lawsuit as an exclusive on Wednesday. According to the celebrity news outlet’s story, Kristina Karo — a singer who coincidentally just released a music video for a song called “Give Me Green Card” — claims Kunis stole her pet chicken named Doggie when they were BFFs in first grade.

The incident was so traumatizing, that Karo claims she had to undergo therapy as a child, and has had to undergo even more therapy upon moving to Los Angeles (due to the proximity to her childhood tormenter, of course) and wants $5,000 for the emotional damage.

Kunis says she has not been served with any papers for the lawsuit, but added: “Emotionally, I’ve been served.”

“I would like to launch a counter $5,000 lawsuit for making me sit there and watch your music video, shamelessly,” Kunis jokes. “My body hurts. My eyes hurt. They’re burning. That requires money.”

For the record, Kunis says she would “never steal a chicken from someone.”
