NBC easily topped a slow Monday night with singing competition “The Voice” and a slightly up “State of Affairs,” as CBS played repeats through primetime.
Second-place ABC aired its “CMA Country Christmas,” which rose slightly from last year.
NBC was first in ratings with a 2.3 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in viewers with an average of 9.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.7/8 and 11 million viewers, highs on the night. “State of Affairs” at 10 had a 1.6/5 and 7 million viewers.
ABC was second in ratings with a 1.5/4 and in viewers with 8.7 million. “CMA Country Christmas” at 8 received a 1.6/4 and 8.9 million viewers. “Castle” at 10 got a 1.5/4 and 8.4 million viewers.
Fox and Univision tied for third in ratings, both with a 1.2/4. Fox was fourth in viewers with 3.8 million, Univision was fifth with 3 million.
For Fox, following a rerun, “Sleepy Hollow” at 9 had a 1.5/4 and 4.5 million viewers.
CBS was fifth in ratings with a 1.1/3, but third in total viewers with 5.4 million. It aired entirely repeats.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and seventh in total viewers with 1.4 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and sixth in total viewers with 1.5 million. Following a rerun, the “Greatest Holiday Commercials Countdown” at 9 got a 0.4/1 and 1.5 million viewers.
