Estella Warren went a little ape in Los Angeles on Monday night.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirms to TheWrap that the actress was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and assault after allegedly crashing into three cars and striking a police officer.
Early media reports noted that Warren briefly managed to briefly evade custody, but according to the police spokesperson, Warren never had the opportunity to evade capture. "We're talking seconds [when Warren was out of police control]," the spokesperson said.
Warren physically attacked an officer at the scene of the arrest, causing police to re-arrest her on assault charges, making two total arrests with the suspicion of DUI, the LAPD spokesperson said.
According to Radar Online, Warren was released after paying $100,000 bail at approximately 2:30 p.m. An owner of one of the cars Warren allegedly hit told the site, "When I approached her [at the scene] she was obviously drunk and acting crazy… A few more residents approached her, but she started yelling and accused us of stealing things from her.
“When I told her she had to wait for the police to arrive she lashed out at me and started to ‘girl-slap’ me on my chest and arms," the alleged victim added.
Warren's representative did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment.
