Apparently,”Pokemon Go” isn’t a hit with everybody.

A 57-year-old man is facing 13 years in state prison after allegedly assaulting a teenager who was playing the wildly popular game, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said.

Jayson Louis Lingen is accused of yelling at a 17-year-old and hitting him in the head with a metal pole as the teen played “Pokemon Go” in Long Beach, California, on Wednesday.

Lingen was charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon because of the alleged incident. A charging document alleges that he had been convicted of the same crime in 2013.

While “Pokemon Go” has brought joy and entertainment to a mass of devotees, the game has occasionally been associated with hazard and near-tragedy. Last month, four teenagers in Missouri were accused of using the game to lure victims into an armed robbery. Also in July, two men had to be rescued in Encinitas, California, after tumbling from a cliff while searching for pocket monsters.

Meanwhile, in Auburn, New York, police reported last month that a driver wrecked his car while playing the game.

The driver admitted to police that he crashed into a tree when he became distracted while hunting Pokemon.
