Ratings: Robin Williams ’20/20′ Special Scores, But Can’t Top ‘Talent’

ABC’s Robin Williams “20/20” special earned a big boost in its timeslot, but couldn’t topple NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.7 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, and first in total viewers with an average of 7.8 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Food Fighters” at 8 p.m. received a 1.1/4 and 4.4 million total viewers. “America’s Got Talent” at 9 earned a 2.0/6 rating and 9.6 million total viewers.

ABC and Univision tied for second in ratings, both with a 1.3/4. ABC was third in viewers with 5 million, Univision was fourth with 3.3 million.

For ABC, “Extreme Weight Loss” at 8 had a 1.1/4 and 4 million total viewers. The “20/20” Robin Williams special at 10 earned a 1.7/5 and 7.2 million.

CBS was fourth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and second in total viewers with 6.3 million, airing entirely reruns.

Telemundo was fifth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in total viewers with 1.5 million.

Fox was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in total viewers with 1.4 million, airing just repeats.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in total viewers with 824,000, airing reruns.
