Very early Sunday morning, Donald Trump took to Twitter to once again let loose. This time, Mark Cuban was in the crosshairs.
“I know Mark Cuban well,” POTUS tweeted. “He backed me big-time but I wasn’t interested in taking all of his calls. He’s not smart enough to run for president!”
The billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks and investor on ABC’s “Shark Tank” responded simply, “LOL.”
An hour later, Cuban tweeted that he didn’t know what triggered the president’s comment, saying, “But isn’t it better for all of us that he is tweeting rather than trying to govern?”

Cuban has been very vocal about Trump’s rise, first as a presidential candidate and now as the commander-in-chief, so much so that The New York Post tagged the billionaire entrepreneur and “Shark Tank” star in a Sunday morning story as one of President Trump’s potential “foes” in the 2020 election.
The Post reports that “the White House’s ‘biggest fear’ is that Cuban, a billionaire businessman, would run because he can appeal to Republicans and independents.” Another White House insider went on to say, “He’s not a typical candidate. He appeals to a lot of people the same way Trump did.”
The source added, “If you believe in the Trump revolution, you can believe a candidate like Mark Cuban could win an election. And Mark is the kind of guy who would drop half a billion dollars of his own money on the race.”
