The series, created and written by James LaRosa and executive produced by LaRosa and Maggie Malina, follows the Los Angeles Devil Girls, the dance troupe for the Los Angeles Devils basketball team. Cain will play a former All-Star who comes back to coach his old team, "only to have to contend with the girls both stealing the spotlight and distracting his players," according to VH1.

Elise will play the protective mother of one of the Devil Girls, while Ross will portray Olivia, the dance squad's manager.

The series, which follows "Single Ladies" onto VH1's scripted slate, begins production next year.

Jeff Olde, VH1's executive vice president of original programming and production, said that the new series "has all the elements we know VH1 viewers love; a world very much on the pop culture radar, an incredible cast and compelling, addictive storytelling. These are all set against a glamorous backdrop where amazing dance numbers organically break out as part of the story."

Olde added that music will serve as a "strong narrative force" on "Bounce."

Cain is also competing in NBC's upcoming reality series "Stars Earn Stripes," which premieres Aug. 13.
