‘Game of Thrones’ Superfan Conan O’Brien Reveals How ‘Conan’ Will End (Video)

TBS host draws inspiration from his favorite HBO fantasy drama

Don’t count Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter among those weirdly upset over that “Game of Thrones” series finale.

As a matter of fact, inspired by the HBO fantasy drama’s ending, O’Brien revealed on Monday exactly when and how his own long-running show is going to end.

“Conan” will come to a conclusion in “Season 48,” he said, obviously joking.

“I’m gonna burn the whole set down, then I’m gonna marry my Aunt Louise,” O’Brien continued. “Andy, you’re gonna sail away to Catalina.”

Most of that is a reference to the final episode of “Thrones,” in which Arya Stark sails off on her own and Dany’s lone remaining dragon melts down the Iron Throne. (In the penultimate episode, the flying dinosaur-lizard set like all of King’s Landing aflame — so that’s probably more what O’Brien was getting at with that part.)

Nobody marries an aunt at the end of Episode 806, titled “The Iron Throne,” for the record. Though the show does contain more than its fair share of incest.

“It’s just gonna be a shot of you sailing on a viking ship to Catalina for no reason,” Conan added. “People are gonna be like, ‘That sucked! I hate that!’”

Probably, yeah.
