Mexico has requested the extradition of a former "Survivor" producer who is accused of murdering his wife at an upscale resort, a foreign ministry official said on Wednesday.
Bruce Beresford-Redman was named as the prime suspect shortly after the body of his Brazilian wife, Monica, was found in a drainage pipe at Cancun's Moon Palace hotel in April.
He was ordered to surrender his passport and remain in Mexico, but left the country under unclear circumstances and is now in California.
