T-Mobile’s New Streaming Service TVision Accused of Breaching Distribution Contracts

NBCU, Discovery and ViacomCBS are unhappy with how their channels are offered

It’s not just Discovery CEO David Zaslav that’s angry with T-Mobile over its live TV streaming service, TVision. ViacomCBS and NBCUniversal are also crying foul over the phone carrier’s new offering, arguing it violates their contracts.

ViacomCBS’ concerns with TVision are similar to Discovery’s issues, which center around how their networks are being packaged on the platform, an individual familiar with the matter told TheWrap. Another individual familiar with NBCUniversal’s discussions shared similar concerns, arguing its contract requires T-Mobile to distribute both owned-and-operated NBC and Telemundo stations, as well as local NBC affiliates across to all TVision customers.
