Terry Crews Asks DL Hughley If He Should ‘Slap the S— Out of’ Him for Mocking His Sexual Assault Story

“Are you implying I ‘wanted’ to be sexually assaulted? I’m listening, sir,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star tweets

In August 2018, D.L. Hughley gave an interview which included his take on Terry Crews’ sexual assault by now-former WME agent Adam Venit. On Sunday, Crews gave his opinion on the comedian’s criticism of his accusation that Venit touched his genitals at a party, asking if he should “slap the s— out of” him for mocking him.

“I think that now everybody’s so into this notion that, ‘It happened to me too,’” Hughley said in the interview, which you can view above. “Hey, motherf—er. God gave you muscles so you could say no and mean it.”

Crews tweeted the video Sunday, and tagged Hughley, asking him, “You told the world ‘God Gave Me Muscles So I Could Say No…’ Are you implying I ‘wanted’ to be sexually assaulted? I’m listening, sir…”

Hughley replied with a simple “You saw the video!” and Crews followed up with, “Sir you said I should have pushed him back, or restrained him and I DID ALL THOSE THINGS… but you act like I didn’t. Were you there?”

The comedian responded: “That’s different than slapping the s–t outa him.”

Crews then asked, “So sir… If you truly feel that is a correct way to deal with toxic behavior… Should I slap the shit out of you?”

Crews told his sexual assault story in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee last summer, with Venit eventually resigning from WME.
