ABC World News is tossing its hat into the global-trade debate with "Made in America."
The new series will focus on American manufacturing.
The week-long series, launching Feb. 28, will highlight the trade disparity through real-world examples, exploring the difficulty of buying American in an increasingly global marketplace. ABC World News weekend anchor David Muir and ABC's Sharyn Alfonsi challenge a Dallas family to furnish three rooms of their home using only American-made products. The resultant footage chronicles the struggles they face, such as whether certain products can even be found in non-import form anymore, and if it's cost-effective to buy American.
