Anderson Cooper, Kellyanne Conway Beef Over CNN’s Russian Dossier Coverage (Video)

“CNN went first yesterday and BuzzFeed went second,” Conway tells the “AC 360” host

Kellyanne Conway and Anderson Cooper battled it out on Wednesday night over CNN’s coverage of the now-infamous Russian dossier — over which Trump publicly shamed the network during a press conference earlier in the day.

Cooper asked Conway to admit that CNN did not release the dossier and the network should not be lumped in with BuzzFeed, the online news organization that published the controversial, unverified information.

“CNN went first yesterday and BuzzFeed went second,” Conway said before Cooper fired back, “We didn’t report what BuzzFeed reported.”

Conway said that CNN linked to the BuzzFeed story, something that Cooper eventually denied. She said that CNN is “feeling the heat” for its reporting.

“Cooper asked, “What’s inaccurate about what CNN reported?

“Oh my goodness, the whole headline,” Conway responded. “The entire story.”

The two went on to argue for a few minutes, with Conway calling CNN’s report “fake news” that has “not been backed up” by credible sources. Both Conway and Cooper began to appear visibly frustrated as they remained entrenched in their opposing stances.

Earlier on Wednesday, Trump scolded CNN and refused to take a question from the network’s Jim Acosta.

“Your organization is terrible, don’t be rude,” the president-elect said. “No, I’m not going to give you a question. You are fake news.”

Trump accused CNN of reporting details from a 35-page intelligence document that the reporters were not able to independently corroborate. Buzzfeed published the entire dossier.
