Anna Kendrick has joined the cast of Lionsgate's "What to Expect When You're Expecting," the studio announced Thursday.
She joins Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Brooklyn Decker in the adaptation of the pregnancy manual.
The movie, directed by Kirk Jones, is an ensemble comedy.
Kendrick will play Rosie, a woman who "reunites with an attractive old flame after a turf war between their respective food trucks."
The movie has a release date of May 11, 2012. It is set to begin shooting this summer.
Mike Medavoy, Arnie Messer and David Thwaites are producing through their Phoenix Pictures.
The film is based on Heidi Murkoff's book. Heather Hatch wrote the script, which was rewritten by Shauna Cross.
Kendrick was nominated for the best supporting actress Oscar for her performance in 2009's "Up in the Air."
