‘Arrested Development,’ ‘Archer’ Actress Judy Greer Joins Nat Faxon in FX Comedy Pilot

Judy Greer will play a woman who gives her husband permission to have an affair

FX is doubling down on Judy Greer.

Greer, who plays assistant Kitty Sanchez on "Arrested Development," has signed on for the as-yet-untitled comedy pilot from Andrew Gurland, FX's executive vice president of original programming and development Nick Grad said Friday.

The pilot, which begins production this summer in Los Angeles, also stars "Ben and Kate" alum Nat Faxon.

In addition to her "Arrested Development" role — which she reprised for the Netflix revival of the series — Greer also voices the Cheryl Tunt character on FX's "Archer."

In the pilot, Faxon and Greer will play a married couple who get along great in every room except the bedroom. Living in a new city with no friends, and overwhelmed by her three young daughters, at the end of the day Greer's character would rather curl up with vampire fan fiction than her always horny husband.

In order to save their otherwise great marriage and family, she gives her husband permission to take care of his needs elsewhere.

Gurland ("The Virginity Hit") wrote the pilot and is also directing and executive producing. Paul Young and Peter Principato are also executive producing, while Salamo Levin ("Metallica: In Their Own Words), who developed the pilot with Gurland, is producing.
