Sophie Hunter better watch out; Jimmy Kimmel is trying to steal her man.
Benedict Cumberbatch appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Monday night, only two days after marrying Sophie Hunter in a private ceremony. To mark the occasion, Kimmel decided to host a private honeymoon with himself and the Oscar-nominated “Imitation Game” star.
After changing the backdrop to something more tropical, Kimmel surprised Cumberbatch with a couple of pina coladas that both agreed were terrible. After a quick toast, Kimmel chimed in, “And then later we’ll make love.”
Kimmel then presented the newlywed with a few items that were left in his wedding registry, namely kitchen utensils like a wire whisk and a avocado slicer. Setting the jokes aside briefly, Kimmel congratulated Cumberbatch on all his recent success, namely his wedding, his Oscar nomination, and having a baby on the way. “You’ve got a little Cumberbun in the oven,” as Kimmel put it.
Cumberbatch lamented that the child will most likely take his last name. He then solicited any first name ideas from Kimmel. Kimmell suggested that he give the baby a name that begins with a Q, as it would then form Q. Cumberbatch.
