Police drama "The Chicago Code" will make its series debut on Feb. 7, Fox announced on Wednesday.
Formerly titled “Ride-Along," the series represents a return to law and order territory for creator Shawn Ryan. Ryan mined similar terrain in his critically acclaimed FX drama “The Shield."
Fox said the show will center on the Chicago's most powerful and respected cops as they navigate the city’s underbelly to fight crime and expose corruption within the Windy City’s political machine.
"The Chicago Code" stars Jason Clarke (“Brotherhood”) and Jennifer Beals (“The L Word”). Clarke will play a veteran cop, while Beals will play his ex-partner and the city's first female superintendent. Delroy Lindo co-stars as a building-magnate-turned-politician.
"The Chicago Code" is a production of 20th Century Fox Television and MiddKid Productions. The series is written and executive-produced by Ryan and Tim Minear (“Dollhouse”). Charles McDougall (“Big Love”) also directed and executive-produced the pilot episode.
