After Stephen Amell’s brooding Arrow tried to bring down Grant Gustin’s light-hearted superheroics as The Flash in the first part of their epic CW crossover, it’s time for The Flash to return the favor. “Flash vs. Arrow” continues Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on “Arrow.”
The Flash brings with him not only his trademark wit and enthusiasm — a stark contrast to the grim and gritty Arrow’s mission in Starling City — but he’s also bringing along some meta-humans, even if Arrow won’t call them that.
The two heroes are allies and friendly rivals, constantly testing one another’s limits and theorizing who would win in a fight. It’s the kind of discussion that’s been happening among comic enthusiasts for decades.
“When I’m fighting you, it’s literally like you’re standing still,” Gustin tells Amell in a promo for Wednesday night’s chapter of their two-part crossover event. But just because he’s faster doesn’t mean he’ll necessarily win. Arrow has been in training for years, while The Flash was living a rather mudane life until he was gifted super-speed.
The epic CW crossover continues in “The Brave and the Bold” episode of “Arrow,” Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
