“Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe has already stated that he has no intention of playing the Boy Who Lived again, but admits to having mixed feelings about seeing another actor take over the role.

That’s something he’ll have to come to grips with when the stage production “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” opens in London next year.

“It would be very weird to see someone else play him,” Radcliffe said Thursday night on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live.”

The play is considered the eighth installment in the Harry Potter franchise and will focus on Harry’s youngest child, Albus.

The official synopsis reads:

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

The play will be split into two parts “due to the epic nature of the story,” according to the Pottermore team. It will feature a cast of 30 actors, to be announced at a later date.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is due to hit London’s West End in the summer of 2016.
