Fox CEO Jim Gianopulos to Give USC Commencement Speech

Jim Gianopulos, chairman and Chief Executive Officer of 20th Century Fox, will deliver the commencement speech for the 2014 graduates at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts (SCA). Also, Marvel President and USC alum, Kevin Feige, will receive the Mary Pickford Alumni Award.

“We are so honored to have Jim Gianopulos and Kevin Feige join us for our graduation ceremony,” said Dean Elizabeth M. Daley. “Few in the film world can rival Jim’s experience and leadership skills and we are deeply grateful for his support and vital involvement in the SCA community.”

“We are also very pleased to welcome back our distinguished alum Kevin,” continued Daley. “His success with the Marvel franchise is a major inspiration to our students.”

Gianopulos, who has overseen two of the biggest box-office hits of all-time, “Titanic” and “Avatar,” joined the SCA Board of Councilors in 2013.

Feige, who graduated from USC in 1995, joins Brian Grazer, Robert Zemeckis and “Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner as recipients of the Mary Pickford award. Feige’s most recent producing credit was for “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

The graduation ceremony will be held at the Shrine Auditorium on Friday, May 16.
