Distributors include Time Warner Cable, DirecTV and Dish Network
Fox Sports 1 says it will be available on all major cable providers for its launch on Saturday.
The former Speed network plans to air nearly 5,000 hours of live event, news and original programming annually. It will launch with NASCAR and UFC events leading into its nightly news, highlights and analysis show, "Fox Sports Live."
“We are thrilled that virtually all pay-television customers across America will have access to Fox Sports 1,” said Mike Hopkins, president of distribution for Fox Networks. “This network launch is a major milestone for Fox and will alter the sports television landscape. We are grateful to our distribution partners for making this all possible.”
In 2014, Fox Sports' new rights agreement with Major League Baseball takes effect. It wil bring regular and postseason baseball games to Fox Sports 1.
