James Corden Tries to Kick an NFL Field Goal for Oakland Raiders – Find Out if He Scores (Video)

“Late Late Show” host gets training, full uniform and two attempts at glory

Forget (American) football, James Corden — the Brit might want to stick to futbol.

The “Late Late Show” funnyman trained hard for his big NFL moment, which eventually proved that he’s probably better at tailgating than the actual sport.

In a pre-taped segment for Thursday’s CBS’ show, Corden attempted a field goal during an Oakland Raiders game in front of 65,000 fans. He kind of looked the part in full uniform, but then he had to take the actual field; Corden had appeared far more at home on the sideline with the cheerleaders.

The song-and-dance man tried a 25-yard field goal with the ball placed in the center of the field on the 15-yard-line — a chip shot for all pros, college kickers and probably most high school ones as well. His line drive kick was wide right — to the opposite end of the uprights from the team’s terrifying Black Hole fans.

Corden was granted another chance, only from the 20-yard-line — a daunting 30-yard attempt when accounting for the end zone.
