Justin Bieber Accidentally Hits Paparazzo With Pickup Truck (Video)

Singer stayed at the scene and cooperated, the Beverly Hills Police Department said in a statement

Justin Bieber accidentally hit a paparazzi photographer with his truck while leaving a church service on Wednesday night, the Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed to TheWrap.

A video posted by TMZ shows Bieber getting into his truck and slowly driving out of the driveway when the side of his truck hits the man, who falls to the ground immediately.

The video then cuts to the man laying on the floor, with Bieber asking him whether the car ran over him; he then asks people around to give them space.

“Did you guys get enough footage of this?” he asks the rest of the photographers still taking pictures. “That’s crazy…”

The Beverly Hills Police Department said in a statement to TheWrap that officials responded to a traffic incident at around 9:24 p.m. on Wednesday, near the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills.  The 57-year-old photographer was carried away in a stretcher and taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. Bieber cooperated with the investigation and was subsequently released.

“Bieber collided with a paparazzo who was attempting to take pictures of Bieber,” the statement reads.

Representatives for Bieber have not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.

The incident comes just a few days after the singer canceled the remainder of his “Purpose” tour. His manager, Scooter Braun, apologized to fans, saying Bieber’s “soul and well-being I truly care about came first.”

Last week, Bieber was barred from performing in Chinabecause of past instances of “bad behavior” in the country and elsewhere.
