NBC is bringing back its summer stand-up comedy competition, “Last Comic Standing,” yet again.
Comedy vet Wanda Sykes will executive produce the show for Universal Television along with her partner at Push It Productions, Page Hurwitz. This is the first project Sykes and Hurwitz are doing for Universal Television in their deal.

The network has not named a host for the summer 2014 incarnation, which will be the eighth season of the show.
The unscripted program (you know, except the jokes) has been off the air for three years. It was on hiatus the summer of 2009, returned in 2010 and has been off the air since then.
