Lindsay Lohan can breathe a bit easier. At least for now.
A spokesperson for the the Riverside County District Attorney's Office confirmed to TheWrap on Tuesday it won't pursue charges stemming from an alleged altercation that the "Machete" actress had while undergoing rehab treatment at the Betty Ford Center in December.
According to the spokesperson, the DA decided not to pursue the matter due to "insufficient evidence," following an investigation.
Lohan reportedly scuffled with chemical-dependency technician Dawn Holland after returning to the facility past curfew.
Lohan and Holland's accounts of the incident differed greatly, and Holland was subsequently dismissed from Betty Ford for violating the center's confidentiality rules by going to the press.
The troubled 24-year-old isn't completely out of hot water yet, however — she's still facing a felony grand theft charge for allegedly taking a $2.500 necklace from a Venice, Calif. jewelry store without permission. Lohan has pleaded not guilty in that case.
