‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ Personality Charged With Rape

Michael Leslie Bernback faces eight felony counts, including rape of an unconscious person

A businessman who was featured on the Bravo reality show “The Millionaire Matchmaker” has been charged with rape, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

Michael Leslie Bernback faces a total of eight felony counts, including one count each of sexual penetration by a foreign object; attempted sodomy by use of force; forcible rape; forcible oral copulation; rape by use of drugs; rape of unconscious person and two counts of administering drugs to commit rape.

Bernback, of Sherman Oaks, California, is accused of sexually assaulting three women. The assaults allegedly occurred on March 23, 2014, Sept. 27, 2014 and Aug. 11, 2015.

He has also been charged with three misdemeanor counts of possessing MDMA (also known as ecstasy), GHB and cocaine.

The complaint against Bernback alleges that he administered a controlled substance to a victim and tied and bound another victim during the sexual attack.

If convicted, Bernback faces multiple life terms in state prison. His bail has been set at $2.1 million.
