Watch ‘Morning Joe’ Co-Hosts Claim They Were Unaware of ‘SNL’ Parody (Video)

“Oh my God, I can’t wait to see it,” Mika Brzezinski says

Newly engaged “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski acted like they had no idea they were parodied on “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend when guest Mark Halperin brought it up on Monday morning.

“Let’s show the clip,” Brzezinski said, looking stunned to hear the MSNBC morning show was parodied. “Oh my God, I can’t wait to see it.”

Scarborough and Brzezinski are both extremely plugged in to what’s going on in the world and are both very active on social media. It’s hard to believe that the morning show duo didn’t have any idea they were mocked during the cold open of “SNL,” which airs on MSNBC’s parent station, NBC.

In Saturday’s opening skit, comedians Alex Moffat and Kate McKinnon played exaggerated version of the duo, hamming up the on-going sexual chemistry between the recently engaged co-hosts.

If Scarborough and Brzezinski really didn’t know they were mocked on “SNL” then perhaps they were busy celebrating their engagement. Or, more likely, they are fairly good actors.

TheWrap confirmed last week that Scarborough and Brzezinski recently got engaged despite on-going attempts to hide their off-camera romance from viewers.
