"Gangnam Style" singer Psy has escaped one-hit wonder territory with sophomore single "Gentleman."
The singer's new track has already reached nearly 93 million YouTube views in just four days, setting the song record for most first-day views on YouTube.
A YouTube spokesperson told TheWrap that the catchy new music video, which features Psy performing a series of mean-spirited antics, racked up 18.9 million views during its debut on Saturday, while Reuters reports a total of 20 million views in its first 24-hour period on the web.
Much like "Gangnam Style" surpassed Justin Bieber's "Baby" last November as the most-viewed YouTube video of all time, "Gentleman" has crushed the first 24-hour performance of Bieber's "Boyfriend," which attracted 8 million views.
"Kony 2012," the 2012 short documentary raising awareness for the atrocities committed by Ugandan war criminal Joseph Kony, still holds the record for most views in any 24-hour period, with 30 million.
Psy's new K-pop song is an international hit on iTunes, as well. "Gentleman" is number one in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Sweden and Switzerland, while quickly climbing the charts in almost every other country.
Although it has yet to reach iTunes' Top 10 in the U.S., the song is number seven in the U.K. and France, while number five in Australia and Japan.
