Ratings: ‘Big Brother’ Holds Steady; CBS Wins Night

"Big Brother" takes top numbers in key demo and total viewers

"Big Brother" held steady from last week to deliver the night's top ratings and push CBS to an overall win Thursday night, according to preliminary numbers.

CBS took first place in the advertiser-friendly 18-49 demographic with a 1.8 rating/5 share and in total viewers with 6.2 million. The network aired repeats except for "Big Brother" at 8 p.m., which was the night's best-rated program with a 2.2/7 — even with last week.

It was also the most-watched show with 6.9 million total viewers.

ABC came in second in ratings and total viewers with an average 1.5/5 and 5.2 million. The network ran back-to-back episodes of "Wipeout," with the episode at 8 drawing a 1.5/5 and 5.4 million, and the 9 p.m. episode receiving a 1.7/5 and 5.4 million total viewers. "Rookie Blue" the following hour posted a 1.2/4 with 4.7 million total viewers.

Though NBC's numbers are inflated due to NFL preemption, as it currently stands the network came in third in ratings and total viewers with a 1.0/3 and 4 million. Following repeats of "Parks and Recreation" and "The Office," "Saving Hope" at 9 climbed 33 percent in the demo from last week with a 0.8/2 and drew 3.7 million total viewers.

"Rock Center With Brian Williams" the following hour was also up, posting a 20 percent gain in the demo for a 1.2/3 and drawing 5.4 million total viewers.

Fox, which aired repeats throughout the night, came in fourth in ratings and total viewers with a 0.7/2 and 2.1 million total viewers.
