Relativity Exec Yale Chasin Joins UTA

Chasin will work for Rena Ronson and Rich Klubeck

Yale Chasin has joined UTA’s Independent Film Group to focus on film financing, the agency announced on Tuesday. He’ll be working in the division run by Rena Ronson and Rich Klubeck, securing financing for films the agency is putting together.

Chasin most recently worked at Relativity Media, where he was the vice president of international sales and distribution. He handled both foreign sales and international output deals for the company’s films.

Prior to joining Relativity, he served as the vice president of international distribution at the Weinstein Co., where he began as an assistant in 2006. At TWC, he worked on international releases of “The Artist,” “Inglourious Basterds” and “The King’s Speech.”

“Yale brings a wealth of experience in international sales and distribution that makes him a great addition as we expand our global reach,” Ronson said in a statement.

Chasin joins a department that also includes David Flynn, Bec Smith, Hailey Wierengo and coordinator Mikey Scwartz Wright.
