Ryan Seacrest to Go Viral All Over Kids With New Nickelodeon Show

Game show will feature children competing in challenges revolving around viral videos

Another Ryan Seacrest project coming to the small screen? What, is it Wednesday already?

The seemingly ubiquitous “American Idol” host and budding media tycoon will executive produce a new Nickelodeon series, tentatively titled “Go Viral,” which will go into production early next year for a Summer 2014 premiere, Nickelodeon said Wednesday.

The series, which has been picked up for 40 episodes, will be a half-hour game show during which kids will compete in elimination challenges revolving around viral videos.  Each round will test kids on everything from predicting outcomes to guessing their popularity as voted by the studio audience.

Ryan Secrest Productions is producing, with its CEO Adam Sher co-executive producing with Seacrest.

“Everyone at RSP worked hard to develop a new game show that showcases the way kids consume entertainment today,” Sher said of the project. “It’s our first series with Nickelodeon, and we’re excited to work with their team, and contribute to their legacy of making groundbreaking kids programming.”
