‘Breaking Bad’ Too Sad? Stephen Colbert Finds the Funny in Fox’s Report on Ariel Castro Suicide (Video)

There is a lot of depressing news out there putting Stephen Colbert in a funk: chemical-weapons use in Syria, radiation in Fukushima, “Breaking Bad” is ending.

“Even worse, I’m starting to think that Hank and Walt may not end up together,” the “Colbert Report” host said Thursday.

To turn that frown upside down, Colbert dipped into his “Smile File” and found the silver lining in Ariel Castro’s suicide. After all, the man was a monster who did taxpayers a favor — imagine how expensive 1,000 years in prison would be?

Thankfully, Fox News’ Eric Bolling diagrammed exactly how many taxpayer dollars Castro saved America by hanging himself, complete with a noose graphic.

But why stop with Castro? Bolling then suggested that every detainee in Gitmo follow his lead.
