Two unscripted series, “Lost Resort” at TBS and “Tirdy Works” at truTV, have been picked up to series at Turner networks, the company announced at the Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday.

“Lost Resort” is described as an upstairs/downstairs look at the booming subculture of exotic wellness retreats. The 10-episode series will follow a group of strangers who are immersed in a three-week-long Costa Rican retreat led by a colorful team of alternative healers, where they experience “everything from rage rituals and shamanic cacao ceremonies to orgasmic dance.”

Produced by ITV America’s Sirens Media, the series has wrapped filming and is set to premiere later this year. Executive producers are Jessica Sebastian-Dayeh, Jordana Hochman and Sarah Howell serving as executive producers. Michael Bloom for Bongo Pictures is also executive producer.

“Lost Resort is an inside look at the exclusive, explosive and often hilariously experimental world of self-help retreats,” said Corie Henson of EVP and head of unscripted programming for TBS, TNT and truTV. “Wait until you see the lengths people will go in their quest for happiness!”

“The vibrant world of alternative wellness in Costa Rica is the perfect catalyst for uninhibited, visceral behavior,” added Sirens Media president and executive producer Jessica Sebastian-Dayeh. “Equal parts provocative, comedic and downright deep, we’re thrilled to bring this unique and wildly fun series to TBS.”

“Tirdy Works” is described as an “unscripted sitcom.” The series tells the story of a small rural town told through the eyes of artist Mary Winchenbach, who becomes a viral celebrity for her booming new business: arts and crafts created out of moose turds.

“Tirdy Works is a hysterical, inside-look at an unconventional business that rallies an entire community together,” said said Brett Weitz, general manager TBS, TNT, and truTV. “Viewers may be surprised at where Mary’s art originates, but the series will showcase the wild and often absurd situations that occur to keep her business afloat.”

The series is produced by Scout Productions with David Collins, Michael Williams, Rob Eric and showrunner Chad Greulach serving as executive producers. Michel Bloom executive produces for Bongo Pictures.
