Twitter could be serving up more television clips — and more ads — thanks to possible deals with Viacom and NBC Universal.
Bloomberg reports that the micro-blogging service is talking with Viacom, which owns MTV, Nickelodeon and a host of other brands, and NBC Universal, whose stable includes both NBC and USA Network, about a deal to feature television clips on Twitter.

Naturally, advertising would also be sold alongside the clips, with Twitter and the networks splitting the resulting revenue, according to Bloomberg, which cites anonymous sources.
Twitter already has partnerships with the Walt Disney Co., ESPN, Weather Channel and Turner Broadcasting System, and partnered with NBC last year to promote Twitter use for audiences of the Summer Olympics.

According to the report, one or both of the partnerships could be solidified in mid-May.
A spokesman for Viacom had no comment for TheWrap. NBC and Twitter have not yet responded to TheWrap's request for comment.
